Madison is recovering from her recent visit at St. Louis Children's Hospital. She was admitted for a night with pneumonia (12th time!) and RSV. We finished the antibiotic for pneumonia yesterday & she's doing fine for now. We have scheduled an appointment with a Pediatric Pulminologist at Children's Hospital on March 30th. They will be doing another chest X-ray when she's not sick to determine if there is an abnormality on the lung that is causing the constant sicknesses. If that is clear, they'll be doing a nose biopsy to see the cilliaries (sp?) that are supposed to keep the bad germs out & make sure those are formed properly. We have already checked her immune system which was fine & also ruled out Cystic Fibrosis. Hopefully one of the tests on March 30th will give us more information & help find a way to prevent all the infections she continues to get. Dr said there is still a chance of plain bad luck, but that's some BAD luck!
On a sad note, we lost our cousin Kaylynn Browning on New Years Day. Kaylynn was only 22 years old & lost her struggle with lung disease. We were fortunate enough to spend Christmas Day with Kaylynn and the rest of the Hull family the week prior. She was a prominent part of our family and we're blessed to have had the time that we did with her. She would always tell me she was going to "ride a cow", but knew it was really a horse. She loved to tease & we're going to miss her.
