Fall Fun
Fall fun at Eckerts last weekend. We rode rides, Madison rode a pony (and loved it!) and we took the wagon out to the orchard & picked our own apples. Madison's favorite thing that day - when the pony in front of her's kept stopping to go to the bathroom :)
Notice how good Madison is getting at having her picture taken....I think we're making progress!
Madison also got her hair cut this month. Just a few inches off the bottom & she did pretty good sitting in the chair by herself. Well, she did good until I got out my phone to act like I was texting so I could sneak a picture. The hairdresser, who obviously doesn't know how much Madison hates having her picture taken, says "Look at Mommy, she's going to take your picture!" Oh boy - that lady felt so bad after she said that. This blurry pic with Madison trying to grab my camera was the best shot I could get! Good thing we were almost done because it was all downhill after that. (This was before the apple orchard, so I'm still hopeful we're making progress!)
Other big news...we're going to Disney World!!! Spring Break 2012!!! Booked the trip last weekend. Madison is already talking about getting to meet Rapunzel!

First Day of Preschool
Today was Madison's first day of preschool. The morning started out a little rough when Madison realized I was going to take her picture (this kid is terrified of the camera!) Just to prove how scared she is - I'm sharing this horrible picture that I'm sure she will hate me for in a few years!
After some tears she decided that having her picture taken was better than losing her bike for the week. Yes...it was just a tad ridiculous & overdramatic!
We dropped her off at before-care which is across the parking lot from her actual class. The morning aide is then supposed to take the kids over to their actual class around 8am. Our good friend MJ was dropping off his daughter in the 4-year class this morning & stopped by to see how Madison was adjusting to her class. She wasn't in her class with the other before-care kids yet so he went & found her still in the before-care class & walked her over to the right classroom. I'm sure it was just 1st day chaos. However, that still didn't give me a warm-fuzzy feeling & I had a pretty rough day worrying that she was in the right spot at the right time. We picked her up from after-care this afternoon & she was so excited to tell us about her day. She had a great day & can't wait to go back tomorrow! Looks like I'm the only one who had a rough day - she did awesome!!!
This is the picture that MJ took to show me she was finally in the correct room. Hand in the mouth since she was nervous. But she told me she was a big girl & didn't cry at all today. Whew...hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for Mommy!
